Which topic should i choose to start my first regular site?

I’m an event blogger and have done many successful events. But now i need a regular site for earning some side money to fund my event sites. So i want to know some point :-

1 which topic should i choose for regular website.

2 Is is easy to do as i only have 2 hours to give this.

3 do i need backlinks for regular site too.
