I upgraded to 1.0.5. The Recent news is now fixed. But Popular News and Category widgets still doesn't show category and author. Another issue that has appeared i the new version, is in the news carousel. In the bottom of the widget (under the date of the first post) the is a "0" (zero) for each page i the carousel there is another number (eg. 1,2,3,4 atc.)
The number mess with the layout in the carousell (the arrow i the circle is not centered).

– I have checked on Our demo and nothing happens with the Popular News and Category widgets. Please create a private question and send me username & password off your site for further checking.
– To resolve the news carousel widget. Please add the News Carousel widget in the Bottom section. The News Carousel widget support only in the Bottom section.
