Brent Eades I really like the look of this theme. There are two customizations I would need to do for my purposes:
1. Use the ‘Under navigation’ section for a second-level menu, rather than a ticker or whatever.
2. Either disable the ‘Slide’ block or replace it with something else.
Can I do this fairly easily? I don’t mind editing source files if necessary. Thanks.

Of course ! you can customize for the Home page section as you want.
1. At the moment, in the DW Focus theme, the under navigation section is made for only one widget named “DW Headline” widget. So, you can not use sub-menu in this section.
2. We are using New Slider widget to build the Slide block on the Homepage. Of course, very easy to disable/enable it from the homepage. You can display it by dragging and dropping the New Slider widget into Home Content sidebar. Otherwise, remove/delete it from Home Content sidebar.
