logo image not appearing correctly

I am setting up my site and my logo is not appearing correctly. It is a black and white jpg image designed in photoshop. On an initial visit to my site, it appears fine, if you click on a post or any other link, in every instance thereafter it does not. The image is a silhouette of a stack black books with my site name knocked out in white on one of the spines. The background is transparent. When the error occurs, the logo is sort of reversed out. It becomes a black square background with the black books becoming a beige color and the logo type appearing in black. Please help, thanks
