Hi Guru ! To have the tags on a question listing page in a dropdown list as our designwall.com. You can go to link: https://gist.github.com/bighug/8968377 Add the code there to the functions.php file in the folder path “\wp-content\themes\yourtheme” Hope this helps !

You are a star! πŸ˜€

Works like a charm!

The only bit I would add is the following css code to the style.css file as I have a modified file in my theme-folder

/wp-content/theme/theme-name/dwqa-templates/style.css

.dwqa-container .dwqa-list-question .sort-by .filter-by-tags.select {
left: 210px;
right: auto;
}

I have one more two part request:

i. Can we have a pre-defined set of tags rather than having all the tags show in the dropdown list? As I need to use regional names as tags.

ii. If the same dropdown list has to be shown in the Ask question section what do we need to do?

Best regards,

Hi Guru !
Apologies for the delay in replying to you. Currently, DW Q & A plugin has not yet support the feature of the drop-down tags list as on designwall.com. If you want to have it, you will need to custom codes very much. Please stay tuned, we will add this feature in the next version of DW Q & A plugin as soon as possible. Β

Thanks for your reply @Dominic,

You have already provided the code for the drop down listing for the question listing page, and I have improvised with css from your site!

I am happy that these modifications are making their way into the new version, which is awesome πŸ™‚

The problem I have is instead of a limited number of product tags (like Design Wall), I could have hundreds of tags based on the questions asked by users.

My question was specifically about having a set menu displayed as a second dropdown apart from the category dropdown

The second question was (which has been asked by someone else aswell) whether the same code provided by you above could be modified to show on the ask question page so that the number of tags can be kept within a limit!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Best regards,

Guru
