How do I lock the leftmost panel of the DW Minion theme for my wordpress blog?

I love this theme, but want the left-most panel (with my blog title and logo) always visible. When it’s collapsed, people cannot see the title or logo which I don’t want.
I’m not a heavy coder so if there is a code fix required in the editor of my wordpress blog, can you please provide answer for total newbie? Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi Brigid,
Thanks for your interest in our theme.
However at the moment we do not support custom change for our free product yet. What you has said does not simply a change in custom code, but also it requires a lot of change in layout and style as well.
