This is to notify you regarding the speed issue we are facing right now in our site http://www.cambyte.com. Previously we were using ‘Pin This’ wordpress theme and the speed was kind of good. Now after changing to ‘DW Focus’, the speed has considerbaly reduced and users are facing slow load time. This has resulted in a big bounce rate recently and it a trouble on the long run.
PFA the snapshots of the speed test before and after the theme change.
It will be great if you can quickly help us out on this speed issue and get us on the track back swiftly.
(Note: The domain name was initially cameraw.tips and we have now changed it to cambyte.com. Hope this does not affect the speed in any way)

As you switched from other theme to DW Focus, you need to use this plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/) to regenerate thumbnail.
Also, you can try some additional tweaks below:
- Use WP Smush plugin to reduce the file size without losing quality: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-smushit/
- Use Lazy Load plugin to improve page loading speed: https://wordpress.org/plugins/lazy-load/
- Consider to use “W3 Total Cache” to maximise site performance: https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/
- If using CDN, your site speed will get even better.
Hey Jackie Lord, thanks for the update. But I have doubt. In few other reviews I read, it says that W3 Total Cache and CDN plugins might crash the website. So is it really advisable?
Don’t worry ! you absolutely can rest assured.
A content delivery network or content distribution network (CDN) is a large distributed system of servers deployed in multiple data centers across the Internet. The goal of a CDN is to serve content to end-users with high availability and high performance. CDNs serve a large fraction of the Internet content today, including web objects (text, graphics and scripts), downloadable objects (media files, software, documents), applications (e-commerce, portals), live streaming media, on-demand streaming media, and social networks.
Regards,
I’ve just installed Photon and wondered if it is compatible or works with W3 Total Cache as there’s no option to select Photon from the W3 CDN drop down? In using Photon, is there anything more to do, once it’s been activated? Any advice appreciated! Cheers!
Please accept my apology for the delay in getting back to you. About your question, you can refer here:
