Installing Plugins WordPress

A straight forward guide to Installing Plugins WordPress.

First we should ask ourselves a question, what exactly is a WordPress Plugin?

Plugins are extensions to the WordPress standard library which allow you to extend the features and functionality of your WordPress site. Although WordPress comes standard with some basic plugins and features, sometimes having extra functionality is exactly what you need to step your site’s content up to the next level.

If you’d like to see a list of some of our favorite plugins you can checkout our GitHub Repo here to see which ones we recommend. There are over 35,000 plugins available within the WordPress.org directory with many more available commercially so we decided we needed to give you a little bit of guidance on which ones were the best and our favorites.

If you checkout our blog you can also find some plugins which are recommended by our community because often times other people have gone through exactly the problem you have and can give you the best recommendations.

In any case,

There is more than one way to skin a cat as the old saying goes.

In this 3 minute video we’re going to explain to you the different ways in which you can install a plugin using the WordPress framework.

Remember that there are literally thousands of plugins so you’ll have to spend some time doing a little bit or reading on the description, documentation, installation process, FAQ, Rating & Reviews and perhaps screenshots to make sure it’s the right one for you.

By the end of this film you should be really familiar with installing, setting up, and activating the plugins of WordPress.
